Understanding Web Design: Jeffrey Zeldman Video

19 Dec 08 by Rick Tuttle

Here’s an interesting video of Jeffrey Zeldman explaining web design.

Zeldman is the cult hero of web standards zealots and advocates the valid use of XHTML, CSS, Javascript and other web technologies.  I have benefited from reading his Designing with Web Standards books.

And, yes, you can just use his last name and people will know who you mean.

BarCamp & WordCamp Miami 2009

17 Dec 08 by Rick Tuttle

I plan to attend BarCamp Miami 2009 and WordCamp Miami 2009 on February 22, 2009 at the Adrienne Arsht Center. This will be my first BarCamp and I’m excited to see what it’s all about.  I’ve wanted to become a part of Refresh Miami but can never make the events since they are always on Wednesday nights (how about another night sometimes folks?).

Not sure whether I’ll present something about iPhone web development or just stick with WordPress. I hope to use a current project as a case study.

WordPress 2.7

11 Dec 08 by Rick Tuttle

Yipee! WordPress 2.7 has just been released.  I’m gonna get me some right here.

Read all about the new features of the release.

I think my favorite feature will be the ability to update WordPress installations from within the admin area.  This will make my life so much easier.

Cool new admin redesign also!
