Rick Tuttle is a Miami web app developer and architect with over 25 years of industry experience. His expertise includes the full stack of application development including frontend scripting in Javascript, jQuery and AngularJS, web design using HTML and CSS, server side scripting in ASP.NET, C# and PHP, database programming and administration in Microsoft SQL Server and mySQL, and content management and publishing with WordPress.
His wife and two daughters affectionately call him “Papa” and that is why he chose the name Papasoft several years ago for his freelance web consultancy. He is happily employed by a Miami company but has kept the name Papasoft for this web site.
Rick has been married to his college sweetheart Mary since 1987. Mary Tuttle is a director of development (fundraising and major gifts) for a local Miami non-profit.
Rick is an alumnus of Florida International University where he studied Mathematics and Computer Science. He is an active member of the Miami tech scene, the South Florida WordPress Meetup Group and part of the organizing team for WordCamp Miami.
He and his family attend Calvary Chapel Miami Beach where he serves as a volunteer worship leader. Rick is a musician and songwriter and in 2012 recorded a CD of lullabies that he had written for his girls when they were younger. His two daughters sang on the recording with him.
